Terms of Service

• Payment:

  • The base price of $299 is due in full at the time of scheduling the interview.

  • Payment can be made via credit card, debit card, or other electronic methods accepted by SMS Novel Films.

  • The optional publication fee of $200 is due upon confirmation of publishing services.

  • All sales are final. No refunds will be issued once the interview is scheduled.

• Scheduling and Meetings:

  • Meetings must take place at a Starbucks location in the United States, chosen by the client at the time of booking.

  • Clients are responsible for any personal expenses incurred during the meeting (e.g., food, drinks, or transportation).

  • Meetings cannot be rescheduled if missed, except in cases of extreme circumstances, at the discretion of SMS Novel Films.

• Book Creation and Delivery:

  • The full book will be completed and delivered as an electronic copy within 7 days of the interview.

  • The electronic copy is for personal use only and may not be distributed or sold without opting for the publication service.

  • SMS Novel Films retains no ownership of the book’s content but reserves the right to use anonymized excerpts for promotional purposes unless otherwise requested by the client.

• Publication:

  • The optional publication service ($200) includes professional layout, design, and distribution through online platforms or select retailers.

  • Published books will be available for purchase within 30 days of the publication fee payment.

  • Clients may request removal of their book from distribution after a minimum of 60 days, subject to platform policies.

• Content and Liability:

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and legality of the information provided during the interview.

  • SMS Novel Films is not liable for any disputes, claims, or legal issues arising from the content of the book.

  • The client warrants that their story does not infringe on any third-party rights, including privacy or intellectual property.

• Cancellation and Refunds:

  • Cancellations made before the interview are subject to a $50 administrative fee.

  • No refunds will be issued after the interview has taken place or if the client misses the scheduled meeting.

  • Publication fees are non-refundable once the publishing process has begun.

• Privacy and Confidentiality:

  • SMS Novel Films will protect the confidentiality of all personal information shared during the interview, except as required for book creation or publication (if opted for).

  • Clients may request that their book or personal information not be used in promotional materials.

• General:

  • SMS Novel Films reserves the right to refuse service to any client at its discretion.

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of Virginia.

  • Any disputes arising from this service will be resolved through mediation or arbitration in Falls Church, Virginia.
