Justice League Day (Film, Book, Soundtrack)

Arthur Pringle is a man of precise habits and zero charisma. For ten years, he’s been a low-level clerk at a paper-shredding firm, secretly funneling every cent into a savings account labeled "The Epic."

Today was supposed to be Day 1 of production on his gritty superhero opus, Justice League (no relation to the comic, he insists, because his is "art"). But when a banking glitch and a predatory landlord wipe out his $50,000 savings, Arthur is left with nothing but the $100 bill in his pocket and a rental camera that's due back by midnight."

The day descends into a dark, minimalistic farce. Arthur attempts to film a "high-stakes rooftop standoff" on the office breakroom table while the boss is in a meeting. He tries to direct his coworkers—who are mostly concerned about their 15-minute union breaks—into delivering Shakespearian monologues about justice.

As the $100 dwindles to zero, Arthur realizes that while he doesn't have a budget, he does have a very confused group of people in reflective vests. In a final act of desperation, he pivots from a "blockbuster" to a "minimalist avant-garde silent film," proving that justice isn't about the money—it’s about how much glitter you can fit in a single frame.
