Terms & Conditions – Family Tree Documentary Service

1. Public Information Only
Our Family Tree Documentary service uses publicly available historical data, surname histories, migration patterns, census records, and user-submitted information. We do not access private, restricted, or paid genealogy databases such as Ancestry.com, MyHeritage, or FamilySearch accounts.

2. User-Provided Details
All personal names, family details, and photos you provide must be your own or shared with permission. By submitting any information, you confirm you have the right to use and share it for documentary creation.

3. Accuracy Disclaimer
Our documentaries are interpretive and informational. They may include estimated, inferred, or historically contextualized information based on surname research, migration patterns, and public data.
SMS Novel Films does not guarantee genealogical accuracy, lineage verification, or identity confirmation.

4. Delivery Time
After concept approval, your documentary will be delivered within the estimated timeframe provided in your project offer. Delivery times may vary depending on project complexity or add-ons.

5. Payments & Refunds

  • All payments are final once production begins.

  • Refunds are available only before approval and production start.

  • Add-on photo enhancements ($19.99 per photo) are non-refundable after processing.

6. Photo Add-Ons
For real-photo integration, you grant SMS Novel Films a license to edit, enhance, animate, and incorporate your photos into the documentary.

7. Usage Rights
You receive full personal and family use rights to distribute, share, and publish your documentary.
SMS Novel Films retains non-exclusive rights to use generic, non-identifying clips for portfolio or demo purposes unless you request removal in writing.

8. Revenue & Earnings
If your project is published for sale on SMSNovel.com or partner platforms, you will receive payouts per view or per sale as stated in your project offer. Payment is made same-day or next-day depending on processing time. *Publishing pays out $1 per view from our website, same day payout, must accrue $25 for accruement.

9. In-Person Filming
In-person filming is available for documentary projects only, subject to scheduling, approval, and location feasibility. Travel expenses may apply.

10. Content Restrictions
We reserve the right to decline projects involving:

  • defamation

  • false claims

  • hate speech

  • private individuals without consent

  • prohibited or unethical content

11. Data Storage
Submitted information may be stored securely for future updates, revisions, or re-downloads. You may request deletion at any time.

12. Agreement
By using this service, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions as part of the production process.
