Safety Policy & Terms of Service

By booking or participating in a One Prompt Date™ experience, you agree to the following Safety Policy.
This Terms of Agreement is designed to protect SMS Novel while clearly outlining the expectations for the participant. It incorporates your specific pricing, safety protocols, and "Prompt-a-Date" features.
SMS Novel Reality Dating: Terms of Agreement
Effective Date: January 5, 2026 Service Fee: $199.99
By proceeding with payment and providing a date prompt, you (the "Participant") agree to the following terms and conditions provided by SMS Novel:
1. Description of Service
SMS Novel provides a curated, 60-minute reality dating experience. This includes:

A custom match based on the Participant’s text-based prompt.

Up to 75 minutes of travel logistics to the date location.

60 minutes of safety monitoring by SMS Novel staff or designated representatives to film, and provide instructions.
2. Eligibility & Requirements

Age: Participant must be between the ages of 18 and 72.

Background: Participant warrants they have a clean criminal record. SMS Novel reserves the right to perform a background check.

Waiver: A separate legal liability waiver must be signed prior to the date commencement.
3. The "Prompt-a-Date" Process

Customization: SMS Novel accepts prompts regarding race, size, personality, and availability. While SMS Novel provides every effort to match prompts exactly, matches are subject to availability within our talent pool.

Booking Window: The matchmaking and logistical setup process takes 2–4 days from the time of successful payment.
4. Safety & The "60-Minute Rule"

Monitoring: The first 60 minutes of the encounter are strictly monitored for participant safety.

Decision Point: At the 60-minute mark, the Participant must decide to either:
End the date and depart via provided travel.
Continue the date privately, at which point SMS Novel’s monitoring and liability end.
5. Media & Filming

Agreed Filming Participation: Filming for the SMS Novel YouTube documentary series is optional.

Release: If the Participant elects to be filmed, they grant SMS Novel the irrevocable right to use their likeness, voice, and actions in the documentary, which may be released on public platforms (YouTube) within 24 hours of the date.
6. Fees & Refunds

Non-Refundable: The $199.99 fee covers the labor of matching, travel coordination, and voucher issuance. Once the 2-4 day booking process has begun, the fee is non-refundable unless date is unavailable at the agreed upon time.

No-Show Policy: If a participant fails to arrive at the designated travel pickup or date location, the fee is forfeited.
7. Code of Conduct
Participant agrees to treat their match and SMS Novel staff with respect. Harassment, illegal activity, or verbal abuse will result in the immediate termination of the date without a refund.
Participant Acknowledgment
"I understand that SMS Novel provides the matching, the safety, and the logistics for a fee of $199.99 I agree to the 75-minute monitored format and understand that my booking will be finalized within 2-4 days of this agreement."
