Terms of Service
1. Service Description
SMS Buddy is a companion experience service provided by SMS Novel Films. For $25 per 90 minutes, an SMS Buddy joins your Zoom session to watch, read, or listen alongside you in real time — covering any film, show, book, or album of your choosing. SMS Novel Films does not stream, broadcast, host, or distribute any third-party content. All content is accessed independently by each party on their own device using their own subscription or copy.
## 2. Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for ensuring you have lawful access to any content experienced during your session. SMS Novel Films makes no representation regarding the licensing or legality of any third-party content you choose to watch, read, or listen to. We do not provide, sell, or facilitate access to any streaming platform, publication, or copyrighted material.
## 3. Bookings and Payment
Sessions are booked and paid in advance through smsnovel.com. A minimum booking of 90 minutes is required. Payment is processed at the time of booking. Your session time begins at the scheduled Zoom start time regardless of late arrival by the customer.
## 4. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before a scheduled session are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the session are non-refundable. No-shows are non-refundable. SMS Novel Films reserves the right to cancel any session and issue a full refund at its sole discretion.
## 5. Code of Conduct
All sessions are expected to be conducted respectfully. SMS Novel Films reserves the right to terminate any session immediately and without refund if a participant engages in harassment, abusive language, inappropriate content, or any behavior deemed unacceptable at our sole discretion.
## 6. Appropriate Content
SMS Buddy is a faith-based service. We reserve the right to decline any session request involving content that conflicts with our values, including but not limited to sexually explicit, graphically violent, or otherwise objectionable material. Session requests may be reviewed prior to confirmation.
## 7. Privacy
Sessions are conducted via Zoom. SMS Novel Films does not record sessions without prior written consent from all parties. Your personal information is collected solely for booking purposes and is never sold to third parties.
## 8. Limitation of Liability
SMS Novel Films is not liable for technical issues, platform outages, or interruptions caused by Zoom or any third-party streaming, reading, or listening service. In the event of a technical failure on our end, we will reschedule the session or issue a credit at our discretion.
## 9. Session Types
SMS Buddy is available for three experience types:
- Watch Buddy** — any film or television show
- Read Buddy** — any book, devotional, or written work
- Listen Buddy** — any album, podcast, or audio content
All three session types are governed by these same terms and priced at $25 per 90 minutes.
To receive video copy: fee is $10 extra.
## 10. Modifications
SMS Novel Films reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Updates will be posted at smsnovel.com.
