A young man is put in charge of hosting his company’s annual Christmas party on Zoom after the office building’s heating system fails. As the call begins, chaos erupts when family members wander in, coworkers overshare, and someone accidentally screenshares their holiday shopping cart.

Terms of Agreement

SMS Novel Zoom Movie Terms of Agreement

1. Agreement to Participate
By registering for and participating in an SMS Novel Zoom Movie, you (“Participant”) agree to the following terms and conditions.

2. Eligibility

  • Participants must be at least 18 years old, or have parental/guardian consent if under 18.

  • No prior acting experience is required.

3. Participation & Filming

  • All performances are filmed live via Zoom.

  • Participants must be available for the scheduled filming session.

  • Each session lasts approximately 60 minutes.

4. Payment & Royalties

  • Entry fees are $25 standard entry with autobiography audiobook creation or $10 to receive only royalty payouts. .25 cents per sale/paid out monthly.

  • Participants can choose one of the following:

    • 5% royalty of sales from the film. (.25 cents)

    • Life story audiobook publishing with $5 per copy sold.

  • Royalties or payments will be distributed according to sales reports, typically within 30 days after release.

5. Ownership & Rights

  • SMS Novel retains full ownership of all film content, including recordings, edits, and final release.

  • By participating, you grant SMS Novel the right to use your performance, name, and likeness in the film and related marketing materials.

6. Confidentiality

  • Participants agree not to share the film or any behind-the-scenes content before official release.

7. Conduct

  • Participants must behave professionally during filming.

  • SMS Novel reserves the right to remove any participant for inappropriate behavior.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • SMS Novel is not responsible for any technical issues, interruptions, or personal injuries during participation.

  • Participation is at your own risk.

9. Cancellation & Refunds

  • Entry fees are non-refundable.

  • SMS Novel reserves the right to cancel or reschedule filming sessions.

10. Governing Law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the state of Maryland.

By registering and participating, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.
