For a 15-minute session, The Sprint offers a fast-paced, high-energy interview for a short drive of 3 miles at a Broadcast Rate of $25. (Luxury vehicle fee required.) You receive 15 minute short video episode. (No publishing option)
The Deep Dive provides a 30-minute intimate, soul-stirring episode exploring your journey during a 5-mile drive for $45. You receive a 20 minute video episode. (No publishing option)
For a 60-minute legacy broadcast, The Feature covers a full-length life story session and a drive of up to 10-12 miles for $99 and a luxury vehicle at no extra charge! Significantly lower than the $120 - $160 range for premium rideshares.

These Basic Terms of Service (TOS) are designed to protect both SMS Novel and the passenger, ensuring that the filming process is transparent and the legal rights to the footage are clear.
The Backseat Broadcast: Basic Terms of Service
1. The Service Agreement
By booking a ride with The Backseat Broadcast (a service of SMS Novel), you agree to receive discounted transportation in exchange for being interviewed and filmed for a reality media production.
2. Media Release & Ownership

Appearance Release: You grant SMS Novel the irrevocable right to use your name, likeness, voice, and interview answers in any and all media, including but not limited to our website, social media, and paid streaming platforms.

Ownership: SMS Novel owns the copyright to all footage captured during the ride.

Passenger Copy: As part of your fee, you will receive one (1) edited digital copy of your segment for personal use. Commercial redistribution of the edited segment by the passenger requires written consent.
3. Pricing & Payment

Rates: Rates are flat-fees based on time: $25 (15 min), $45 (30 min), and $99 (60 min).

Wait Times: A 10-minute grace period is provided. After 5 minutes, a fee of $0.50 per minute will be applied.

Payment: All payments must be processed via the SMS Novel website or approved digital payment method at the start or completion of the ride.
4. Conduct & Safety

Safe Environment: We maintain a professional, respectful environment. Any harassment, illegal activity, or behavior that compromises the safety of the driver or the vehicle will result in immediate termination of the ride without a refund.

Authenticity: This is an "Inspiration" show. We encourage honesty and vulnerability, but we reserve the right to decline filming or publishing content that promotes hate speech or illegal acts.
5. Liability Waiver

Transportation: While we provide professional transportation, the passenger agrees that SMS Novel is not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, or mechanical issues.

Personal Property: SMS Novel is not responsible for items left in the vehicle.
6. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made within 2 hours of the scheduled pickup time may be subject to a $15 "Producer's Fee" to cover the cost of staging the mobile studio.
Passenger Acknowledgment
"I understand that I am entering a filmed environment. I acknowledge that my ride is being recorded for public broadcast and that I have the right to refuse to answer any specific question, though the filming will continue for the duration of the transit."
