When Ricky Scott realizes that he is smarter than the rest of his classmates, he decides to graduate high school early and go to college. But when Larry May, a Compton gang leader sees the gift of his nephew, he tries to convince Ricky's mother to not the let the boy go. When Larry kidnaps Ricky to convince him to join his gang, Willard shoots his cousin, and must survive a night in Los Angeles being chased by the most powerful gang in Compton.
