The original book focuses on teenager Hannah Powers. A 17-year-old from Chicago. Her prom queen world turns white to black when Hannah sustains a head injury. During her best friend Emily's funeral, she sees a white-gray ghost image radiating around Emily's casket, but no outline around Emily. This convinces Hannah that she has a brain injury even though her neuropsychologist says she does not. Then, she is plunged into a terrifying world of being able to predict death before it happens without being able to do anything about it.
But now...The Eyes of Death 2 explores Hannah, one year older, now in college, exploring her new powers, with a mysterious figure from her past coming back to threaten everything she loves.
